About Yash Chhajer
Yash Chhajer is a Chartered Accountant based in Mumbai and the founder of Chhajer Yash & Co.
Before starting his practice, Yash worked with Price Waterhouse & Co LLP (PwC) in their Financial Services practice for one and a half years. The work involved advising AIFs, Private Equity, Banks, NBFCs and corporates on direct and international tax, corporate and regulatory compliance and structured advisory matters. That experience across complex client situations and multi-jurisdictional issues is what shaped how the practice approaches technical work today.
Chhajer Yash & Co. was set up in January 2026 with a clear focus on clients who need someone who actually knows the law, not just the process. The core of the practice sits in direct taxation, NRI and cross-border taxation, and FEMA advisory, with litigation running across all three. The firm works with resident individuals, NRIs across geographies, HUFs, startups, and growing businesses that want substantive advice alongside their routine compliance.
Yash has a particular interest in making tax and finance concepts accessible, not just to clients but more broadly. He regularly writes on LinkedIn covering topics across income tax, NRI regulations, and financial concepts drawn from his CFA studies, with the intent of helping founders, NRI investors, and business owners make better informed decisions. It is the same instinct that drives how he explains matters to clients: clearly, without unnecessary complexity.
On the academic side, Yash is a CFA Level 2 candidate, which adds depth to the financial analysis and investment advisory work the firm undertakes for high net worth and founder clients.
